Thirty seconds to look
Like the exam: a short look, a bar of count-in, then you play. The piece exists only from the moment it is issued.
Graded from your notes
Your keyboard will send every note with its timing, and the server will check it against the piece — right notes, steady pulse, keeping going — not against a metronome click.
Told why, not just how well
Every note the generator writes already knows why it is hard: a key-signature sharp, a ledger line, a leap. That is what will let Sightduel tell you what you miss.
A rating that is a grade
Every rating converts back to an exam grade: 1720 means you read Grade 4 pieces and are reaching toward the next — grade 4.6. Levels are aligned with published graded-exam sight-reading requirements, from Initial to Grade 5 today.
Where it stands
Being built in the open. The piece generator is live now — every grade, every visit a new piece. Playing on a MIDI keyboard and grading come next, then the ranked ladder, duels and teacher studios.
When grading goes live, the server will check each performance against the piece and the clock. It cannot prove a person played it, and Sightduel will say so rather than claim otherwise.
